Moon Walker II | ||
Light and Sound Sensor Not one, but two! Light and Sound! MOON WALKER II has combined the technology of two sensors. A whimsical indication of future trends, MOON WALKER II begins to walk when it detects a change in light intensity or sound commands. MOON WALKER II continues it's four legged voyage until instructed by an internal timer to stop. This kit presents an engaging opportunity to learn about some of the mechanics, operation and history of robots. When assembled, this robot uses a phototransistor to sense changes in light (such as turning on a lamp) and a condenser microphone to sense changes in sound (such as clapping). It converts those stimuli into electronic signals to power a motor, and MOON WALKER II will walk forward for a preset time. When it stops, affecting other change in light area light or sound may activate it again. The sensors may be adjusted for different sensitivity levels. Printed circuit board pre-assembled. Also available unassembled. See Below.

RocKit Robot | ||
Sound/Touch Sensor OWI introduces to their award winning Beginner Series of educational electronic robot and science kits - RocKit Robot! The new futuristic style includes high performance and superior materials. Rockit Robot evolves as a spunky little robot that you can build. Explore the fundamentals of robotics with this informative and entertaining robot kit. RocKit Robot is an intelligent robot with a touch/sound sensor. If it comes in contact with an object or hears a loud noise (such as hands clapping), RocKit Robot automatically reverses, then turns left before embarking on a new course. Rockit Robot is lots of fun from the moment it arrives. Requiring only basic hand tools, it contains step-by-step instructions, pre-assembled printed circuit board, condenser microphone,and an easy-to-assemble mechanical drive system. It's an ideal gift for the educator, hobbyist or budding scientist. Ages 12 and up Requires 2 AA batteries not included. Dimensions: 7 x 8 x 4 Printed circuit board pre-assembled. Also available unassembled. See Below. RocKit Robot has been selected by the Children's Institute For Childhood Resources as one of the '100 Best Children's Products' and '10 Best Software/High Tech Products' for 2001. |

Spider III | ||
Infrared Beam 'Cool' just got even cooler with the invention of SPIDER III, the third generation in our quest to offer the most advanced design and technology available. With its radical walking style, this intelligent robot avoids interference. This robot teaches us to turn the other cheek when confronted in a challenging situation. SPIDER III emits a light sensor beam; detects bogus things in front of it, signaling it to change direction and continue on a new path of righteousness. Do you know why SPIDER III is so cool? It has more features and costs less than the older version. That's way cool! Man gropes his way in the dark. A bat flies in the dark sensing its own super-sonic wave reflecting back from obstacles. Likewise, SPIDER III emits light sensor rays and judges by the reflection if there are any obstacles in front and gives signals in the form of electric pulses to alter the rotating direction of the left side motor to evade obstacles. Ages 14 and up Requires 2 AA batteries & 1 9Volt battery (not included). Dimensions: 7.25 x 11.875 x 3.5 Printed circuit board pre-assembled. Also available unassembled. See Below. |

Air Zinger | ||
Air Technology AIR ZINGER Robot kit will blow you away! Building on air technology, OWI has created a robot kit that can inhale or blast out a ball (included) through its cannon like loader. Zigging and zagging is no problem with its wired controller. You can easily move forward, backward, left and right. What is amazing, is the whirl wind effect you create when you activate Air Zinger’s wind magnum propeller. When the propeller is activated to retrieve the ball, it is like watching a Largemouth bass inhale its lunch. On command, its special compartment stores the ball and launches it. It’s all about full-throttle competition; who can beat whom? You can create your own games, tournaments, and rules. Ages 12 and up Requires 3 AA batteries & 1 9Volt battery (not included). Dimensions: 7.25 x 11.75 x 3.75 Quick
and easy to assemble, this clever little robot is hard to resist. Children
love to build. The kit challenges cognitive skills, help develop fine motor
skills and hand-eye coordination. |

Sumo Robot | ||
Infrared Sensor This super warrior, the OWI Sumo Robot, can be controlled to assail and overpower its opponent or retreat to prepare for battle. An infrared sensor beam is emitted when detecting an opponent. Upon detection, it instructs the brain of the Sumo to "charge", thereby creating a bona fide wrestling match! You can be the referee (also called gyoji) and decide who the grand champion (also called yokozuna) will be. Buy two and let the Sumo Robot wrestling match begin! Movement: 2 tractor style wheels powered by 1 - DC motor. Control: infrared sensor/detectable range: approx. 350 mm (max). Ages 9 and up Requires 4 AA batteries (not included). Printed circuit board pre-assembled. |

Knight Invader | |||||
| Solar Power Future of toys has arrived. KNIGHT INVADER is a super race car that includes mini-construction projects, teaches the basic principles of electricity, and demonstrates three different modes of propulsion. This sleek super racer has it all and a little bit more. KNIGHT INVADER can blow a fierce force of air to propel it off the starting line and challenges any contender to try and keep up with it, when changed into Direct motor drive. When on a mission, KNIGHT INVADER can secretly change its transportation mode to solar power (sold separately below). Propulsion: Air, direct motor drive, solar (optional). Ages 8 and up Requires 2 AA batteries (not included). |

Solar Battery | ||
Solar Power The Solar Battery is comprised of a number of photo voltaic cells. Each cell is made from a slab of semiconductor crystal. When light shines on the cell voltage is produced that can create an electrical current in a circuit. The greater the light intensity on the solar battery the greater is the current it can produce. Solar Battery is compatible with OWI 6567 and OWI 6577 kits and many other solar experiments.Intended for use to familiarize students and/or hobbyists with functional solar cell principles, and practical applications of solar cells. Mounting bracket not included. Safe, simple-to-use encapsulated mini-panel. Sturdy panel will endure handling without the breakage and cell damage traditionally associated with solar cells. Create various experiments by exposing and positioning the panel to the energy source. This powerful solar battery features 3 cells in a sleek, low-profile protective housing with mounting holes. Positive and negative terminals are indicated to take the guesswork out of installation. Lead wires are included. Dimensions: 5" x 2.5". Current: 350mA. Voltage: 1.4. Compatible with models: OWI-6567, OWI-6577, OWI-688, OWI-685 |

Hyper Line Tracker | ||
Infrared Sensor Hyper! Yes! And we really mean it. This cyber bug possesses a sonic tracking system, and is fortified with a multitude of sensors: photo transistors to detect a black line, Tracking memory to memorize its last track of the black line, and two red LEDs that flash to tell you which side of the light sensor is activated. What this all means is that HYPER LINE TRACKER is the fastest line navigator that we have ever seen. HYPER LINE TRACKER follows a course of your own design! By using a light emitter, light sensor circuitry, and tracking memory, it demonstrates how robots see a pathway. Make a path with a black felt marker or black tape and watch how light sensors enable the robot's motors to make course corrections. Printed circuit board pre-assembled. Also available unassembled. See Below.
